The sustainable fund market in Poland has exceeded PLN 36 billion!

Explore the latest periodic report prepared by Analizy.pl in collaboration with POLSIF for the first half of 2026.

Higher client inflows, strong investment performance, and new product launches are driving the growth of the domestic ESG market. Here are the key takeaways from the analysis:

  • PLN 1.2 billion in new inflows — this is the net amount Poles invested in the first half of 2026 into funds declaring compliance with Article 8 or Article 9 of the SFDR.
  • 6.4% asset growth — assets in domestic sustainable funds have risen to PLN 36.05 billion over the last six months.
  • Dominance of light green products (Article 8 SFDR) — these account for nearly 99% of the entire segment (PLN 35.62 billion). In the first half of the year, their number increased by five, reaching a total of 77 funds.

Product structure and market leaders:

  • Equity funds are the largest group in terms of the number of products (44 funds as of the end of June).
  • However, in terms of asset value, bond funds dominate — 24 products account for 59% of the entire ESG market's assets.
  • ING TFI remains the leader of the Polish sustainable market, managing ESG assets worth PLN 17.6 billion across 14 funds.
  • PKO TFI’s PKO Obligacji Zielonej Transformacji fund attracted the most new capital (approx. PLN 200 million in net inflows).

What lies ahead?

The market faces challenges related to the SFDR 2.0 reform announced by the European Commission (planned for 2027–2028), which aims to introduce clearer categories (Transition, ESG basics, Sustainable) and curb greenwashing.
