Summary of the 3rd edition of the conference “Time to accelerate ESG”

Summing up the 3rd edition of the conference “Time to accelerate ESG” organized by Bloomberg, 30% Club Poland in cooperation with POLSIF did not fail to notice how important ESG aspects began to play in the functioning of the capital market.

This is evidenced by the participation of the Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański, CFA, who at the opening of the meeting emphasized the importance of the financial markets sector in the climate transition and summarized the plans of the Ministry of Finance in the area of sustainable finance development.

The substantive content of the meeting included, among others:
- the role of institutions and financial instruments in the transfer of capital to economic entities for the purposes of transformation or decarbonization discussed in the panel “Financing the sustainable transformation of the economy and enterprises - readiness of financial institutions to support and principles of financing” with the participation of, among others, Tomasz Bardziłowski from Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), Wioletta Bratoszewska and Joanna Alas Members of the Management Board (POLSIF), Piotr Dmuchowski led by Krzysztof Kamiński, CFA, DI, CFA Certificate in ESG
- the influence of gender diversity in the Boards and Supervisory Boards of public companies reflected, among others, in an interesting presentation by Małgorzat Klok and the panel “The Power of Diversity in Value Creation” led by Aleksander Włodarczyk
- an interesting set of Bloomberg presentations exploring the tools and approaches of the banking sector to finance decarbonisation technologies

Special thanks to Arek Osinski, CFA and Robert Pasternak for the excellent organization of the meeting and its substantive side
👏👏👏
